At CIE Manufacturing, we are thankful to the drivers that power the transportation and shipping industry.

Honoring Truck Drivers

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

CIE Manufacturing is honoring all truck drivers throughout the country. The team recognizes and appreciates the professional men and women who deliver goods safely and efficiently. We work with a network of drivers who are heavily involved in our logistics processes.

Did you know this about the U.S. Trucking Industry?

Truck drivers are not just important for shipping and container companies, their work is critical to almost every industry who ships or receives imported goods or requires the movement of goods from one location to another. As the industry adage states “If you bought it, a truck brought it.” During 2020 truckers have faced unprecedented challenges and served as a lifeline for essential goods during COVID-19, all on top of their long hours and weeks away from home.

Just a few facts: There are over 15.7 million trucks in operation in the U.S. In addition, over 80 percent of communities in the country rely exclusively on truck drivers for goods and services. Over 70 percent of freight tonnage in the U.S. is also delivered by truck drivers. The average commercial truck driver in the U.S. is also accumulating up to 105,000 miles of driving per year.

CIE Manufacturing continues to value truck drivers who safely deliver the worlds’ goods and keep the most important distribution networks going. Join CIEM as we extend our appreciation to truck drivers around the country.
